It is with great pleasure that I am announcing a new collaboration. If you’re a collector seeking rare books, you can now find me working with Honey & Wax Booksellers, a Brooklyn-based rare book company that specializes in the unique, unusual, and surprising.
Honey & Wax
The founder of Honey & Wax, Heather O’Donnell, is a long-time friend and former colleague of mine at Bauman Rare Books whose taste, intelligence, and talents have always inspired me. Over the past six months after leaving Bauman, I’ve missed working with collectors on their libraries and I’m eager to resume working with fellow book lovers.
This collaboration allows me to continue pursuing my personal projects, such as my podcast and an upcoming book with Harper Collins, while maintaining an active presence in the rare book world. Now I will better be able to find books for collectors, curate and advise on libraries, and enjoy more access to the resources required to work with rare, unusual, and high-level books. I’ll be in Brooklyn one day a week to take advantage of what Honey & Wax has to offer.
Use Books as Bees Use Flowers
The name of Honey & Wax Booksellers is inspired by a nineteenth century epigram, “Use books as bees use flowers.” The book I’m writing, and indeed, my entire career, has blossomed out of what I’ve found in my joyful exploration of books. I’m inviting you to join me on this new path: visit us at HoneyandWaxBooks.com, and follow Honey & Wax’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.
Now that I’m officially working in the rare book world again, please send me a message below if you’re looking for a rare book to add to your collection, or if you’d like to get started in collecting.
All my best,
